Welcome to Q Clinics
Are you considering a nonsurgical rejuvenation procedure such as anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers? If so, you certainly have plenty of choice in Bristol. However not all
“clinics” are the same. Here are some simple questions which may help in your choice of provider:
Who will carry out the procedure?
Dr John Quinn is fully registered with the General Medical Council and has been a GP in Bristol since 2004. He has been working in cosmetic medicine for over 6 years and has performed thousands of procedures. He is a full member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors.
He is a national trainer for Allergan, the company that manufactures both anti-wrinkle injections and Juvederm Ultra. Dr Quinn personally carries out all injectable procedures at the clinic. He also personally sees patients for follow up. He has been nicknamed “Dr Feelgood” because of his talent and aesthetic eye.
Amazingly there are now “clinics” in Bristol where there are individuals claiming to be doctors when they are not actually registered with the General Medical Council. There are other practitioners injecting illegally as you must have a consultation with a prescriber prior to administration of any prescription medicine. You wouldn’t trust your health to just anyone. Why is this any different when it relates to cosmetic procedures?
How do I know that the premises are appropriate?
Q Clinics are the ONLY independent cosmetic clinic in Bristol to be registered with the Care Quality Commission. Our standards are audited and independently assessed by the independent regulator of all health and social care in England.
We are an independent, local, doctor owned and run clinic. We aim to provide a very personal service for all our patients. However the procedures that we perform are medical in nature. We are not a
beauty salon. Whilst rejuvenating and beautifying, we aim to provide the highest standards of medical care.
What products are being used?
Q Clinics are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Our delivery and storage facilities are audited and independently inspected.
Many patients don’t ask what products are being used or how they have been stored or transported. This is of particular relevance to mobile providers. It is important to be aware that products such
as wrinkle-relaxing injections need to be cared for in the same way as vaccines. You wouldn’t allow your child to be injected with a vaccine that hasn’t been appropriately stored. Surely the same
applies to your own cosmetic treatments?
