Stretch Marks
Stretch marks occur when the skin is over-stretched. This is usually caused by weight gain and is very common during pregnancy (affecting up to 90% of women), where the skin has to stretch very quickly to accommodate the growing baby.
Stretch marks are actually a form of scarring, leaving ridges on the skin. They first appear as reddish or purple lines, but tend to gradually fade in colour. However, even when faded, the lines will often appear empty.
Stretch marks are not a health risk in themselves, but can be unsightly and many sufferers are tempted seek a solution to improve them.
Stretch Mark Treatment
The Dermaroller® offers a real breakthrough in the treatment of stretch marks. Using micro-needling, the Dermaroller® stimulates the skin to rebuild collagen from within for a softer, smoother texture.
